We took inspiration from some of the most well-known games for our list for boy cats!

Rather than going alphabetically, we sorted these by game. You’ll see what we mean as you read through the list.

  4. Rover – a NPC from the Animal Crossing series. Yes, he’s a cat!
  5. Rudy – Rudy is a jock cat villager with the catch phrase- “mush.”
  6. Stinky – Stinky is a jock cat villager with the catch phrase- “GAHHHH.” He wears a splendid tee.
  7. Auron – From the Final Fantasy (FF)series, he is a former warrior monk of Yevon. 
  8. Balthier – A FF sky pirate who globetrots around the Ivalice region on his airship.
  9. Cloud Strife Main protagonist in FF VII, with spiky blond hair. 
  10. Kefka – Main antagonist in FFVI. He is the former court jester. 
  11. Noctis – Main protagonist of FF XV.
  12. Squall – Squall Leonhart is the main protagonist of FF VIII. 
  13. Tidus – Tidus is the main protagonist of Final Fantasy X.
  14. Zidane – Zidane Tribal is the main protagonist of Final Fantasy IX.
  15. Mario – Mario is the protagonist for the Mario video game franchise.
  16. Luigi – He is a plumber and Mario’s younger, taller fraternal twin brother.
  17. Bowser – Archenemy of both Mario and Luigi. He is the ruler of the Koopa Kingdom.
  18. Cappy – Cappy is a major character, and Mario’s ally. 
  19. Kamek – Kamek is a secondary antagonist in the Mario series. 
  20. Toadsworth – a recurring character in the Mario series. 
  21. Yoshi – Mario and Luigi’s sidekick. 
  22. Sonic – Sonic the Hedgehog has the ability to run faster than the speed of light.
  23. Charmy Bee – Recurring character in the Sonic series. 
  24. Dr. Eggman – Main antagonist of the Sonic series. 
  25. Espio – A teenage chameleon from Sonic.

  32. Donkey Kong – Needs no introduction. Great name for a large cat!

  34. PacMan – Do we even need to tell you where this comes from?

Our personal favorites have to be those from Animal Crossing. The Cats are one of 35 animal species, or villagers.

Villagers have an array of 8 different personality types: cranky, jock, lazy, normal, peppy, sisterly, smug or snooty.
