They’re among my favorite brands to recommend, but are they really worth their high price tag?
Obviously I think so, or I wouldn’t keep telling you about them!
Let’s discuss why, though, and then take a look at my favorite picks from their line!

What makes CatastrophiCreations worth the money?
Quick notes- the brand name is CatastrophiCreations- all one word. So don’t worry, if you’re looking specifically for Catastrophic Creations reviews, you’re still in the right place!
When I do cat tree reviews, the very first thing I ask before recommending a product to you is, “Does the value match the price tag?”
If the answer is no, nothing else really matters! The pricier the item, the more value I expect it to hold.
Since CatastrophiCreations do come with a fairly hefty price tag, I have incredibly high standards for them.
Let’s see whether they meet them! FYI, these are the factors I look at when researching any cat product (or heck, any product, period!)

How is it constructed? Is it durable?
Durability and construction plays a major role in determining whether a product’s value matches the price tag.
I simply won’t recommend a $300 cat tree if it won’t survive a year with my own kitties!
CatastrophiCreations really excels in crafting items designed to last for years.
They use heavy pre-cut washable fabric in their hammocks, real wood for the shelving, and strong brackets for mounting.
Every shelf is weight-tested and holds a whopping 60-85 lbs, depending on the item!
In other words, these aren’t cheap particle board structures that will fall apart if your cat so much as looks at them the wrong way.
Personally, I think the durability and overall craftsmanship alone makes them worth the price tag, but let’s look a some other factors that I consider.
CatastrophiCreations also use their own kitties to test every new creation, which means you’re getting a product that you know cats will like.
What’s their story?
A good story isn’t essential, but it’s definitely something that I look at when deciding between different brands.
I feel like if a brand takes the time to tell me who they are, they’re a bit more committed to excellency than one that doesn’t even have an “about” page.
CatastrophiCreations has an amazing backstory, complete with a timeline and videos of their first products (like the Indiana Cat Bridge below).
They share their amazing journey from a workshop in a one-car garage to their first (and second) commercial workspace.
We’ll dive a bit more into the other features that make them worth the money below, as some of them differ depending on the product.
Before we get into those, though, let’s quickly discuss CatastrophiCreations vs other products.
How do they compare to other wall-mounted cat furniture?
Last, let’s look at Catastrophic Creations vs other companies providing cat wall furniture, as they’re far from the only wall-mounted cat tree option out there.
In my opinion, there really aren’t any comparable products on Amazon when it comes to versality and durability!
The only way you’ll even come close to the quality is by shopping on Etsy for other handmade wall-mounted cat trees.
The closest match style-wise is this Cat Wall Furniture Set (pictured above). It’s a bit cheaper than similar CatastrophiCreations, and they offer numerous different colors.
Now that we’ve covered all that, let’s check out some of my favorite options!
CatastrophiCreations Reviews: Our Top 5 Picks for All Budgets
Honestly, my favorite options are all also the most expensive! I want to show you that Catastrophic Creations offers more than just $300++ cat trees, though.
So, I tried to mix things up and give you a good overall picture of what you can get.
Also, as far as pros and cons go, I’m not going to keep repeating the “pros” mentioned above, such as durability, weight limit, etc.
I’ll just focus on pros and cons specific to each item.
So, those sections will be a bit shorter than you’re used to if you’ve read my other cat tree reviews.
Instead, I’m adding a section, “Comes With,” so you can easily see exactly what you’ll get with your purchase.
Last note, I promise- when applicable, I’ll give you both the Amazon and the Etsy link (they have a storefront on both retailers).

I suggest comparing the prices on both sites before buying, as they’re sometimes significantly different.

1. CatastrophiCreations Cat Mod Climb Track
I feel like the Cat Mod Climb Track (which is just called “Climb” on their website) is a good place to start.
It’s not quite as simple as some of the other pieces we’ll look at, but also not nearly as complex as my top pick.

Cons
- As with all of their structures, you need to know where your studs are in your wall.
- One complaint that cats can fall off the bridges.
Recommendation
While most of the reviews on this one are very positive, one customer pointed out an issue with the bridge.
They stated that their cat fell off because there is nothing to stabilize the edges.
CatastrophiCreations replied to that with an offer to help troubleshoot it, showing that they do monitor reviews and try to help fix any issues that arise.

The Mini Garden CatastrophiCreations structure is one of my all-time favorites!

- Fantastic for households with multiple cats
Cons
- At 11″ deep, may not be big enough for XL cat breeds.
- The planter leaks, so it’s not good for plants that need a lot of water.
Recommendation
One of the biggest complaints about this model is regarding the included planter.
Basically, it leaks, so you can’t actually use it for most plants.
While you could just replace them with better versions, considering they’re one of the selling points on this one, that’s no small issue.
Also, as I noted in my “Top Pick” section way up there at the beginning of the post, right now this is hundreds of dollars less on Etsy than on Amazon.
So make sure you double-check the price on both sites before committing to one.

The CatastrophiCreations Cat Double Decker is among one of their more affordable options, but it’s also among the simplest in terms of “wow” factor.

- Not wide enough for ginormous kitties.
- Complaints about the screws and instructions not being the best.
Recommendation
While Etsy reviews rave about this one, over on Amazon one customer expressed concerns about the instructions.
They shared a picture showing that the steps are literally all the same “final product” photo over and over, which is a bit disconcerting.
That same reviewer also had some issues with missing screws and issues getting them to work right.
However, more recent reviews are all positive, and I know the company made some major positive changes recently, so it’s worth checking out!
I really do think this is the best option for those on a tight budget with small houses and just one cat.

After the Mini Garden, the Fort Set is definitely my next favorite!

- The ramp encourages lazy cats to be more active.
- Perfect for families with 3+ cats (versus just 2)!
Cons
- Again, the hammocks are 11″ deep, so not big enough for Maine Coons and such.
- Not exactly a space saver
Recommendation
As far as cons go, the hammocks are not really deep enough for XL kitties.
Also, obviously, this one isn’t exactly ideal for homes with a lack of wall space!
Beyond that, though, it’s just such a fun structure! I love that it’s roomy enough for at least three cats.

5. Catastrophic Creations Juggernaut
The Juggernaut isn’t available on Amazon, so you’ll have to get it on Etsy if you want it.
It’s their priciest option (at least at the moment), but wow, is it cool or what?

They don’t list out all of the items like they did with the other options, but basically, you get:

Recommendation
Yes, this one is VERY expensive, but honestly, if you have the money and space for it, it’s worth it.
Basically, you’re getting all of their hottest products in one package!
It’s definitely roomy enough for at least three cats, maybe even 4 or 5!
If I had the money, I’d buy it in a heartbeat. I know my kitties would go nuts for it.
Final Recommendation
I shared my top pick way up there almost 2,000 words ago, but to reiterate, it’s the Mini Garden.
I feel like that’s a good mid-range option, both in size and price.
However, if you asked me “Nik, which would you buy if money was no object,” I’d definitely say the Juggernaut!
