Feandrea Cat Trees VS PAWMONA Cat Trees

I think the best way to really do a full comparison of Feandrea Cat Trees VS PAWMONA Cat Trees is to look at each brand on its own.

So, we’ll go over the features, pros and cons for both.

That said, I know some  prefer to get information in quick-and-easy bite-sized table form.

With that in mind, I put together a very basic glance at the major features of each brand, using a 64″ cat tree from each one

Like I said, the best way to really compare the two cat tree brands is to look at each on its own, so let’s do that.

Feandrea Cat Trees: Pros, Cons, and Features

feandrea cat trees

Feandrea is a fairly well-known cat tree brand, and one that I’ve talked about quite a bit in past reviews.

In fact, we did an entire roundup of the top 7 best Feandrea cat trees!

Let’s go over the pros and cons, then we’ll look at a few of my favorite options.

Pros

Feandrea has great reviews across their entire line of cat trees.

Let’s check out some of the top pros that pop up throughout.

  • Most options are fairly affordable, or at least comparable to others on the market.
  • They offer a few cat trees for Maine Coons and large breeds
  • Very highly rated (one option has a solid 5-star rating across 3,000 customers).
  • Taller trees come with anti-topple fittings.
  • Sisal-wrapped scratching posts throughout every structure.
  • CARB-certified heavy-duty particle board.

Cons

Even the best cat trees have their drawbacks, so let’s go over the cons.

  • Even if it’s CARB-certified, trees are still made from particle board.
  • Sisal only covers part of each pole, not top to bottom.
  • Not all of their trees are good for large-breed cats.
  • Even the roomiest trees won’t work for XXL breeds.
  • Not made in the USA

Let’s take a closer look at what I feel are the biggest “cons.”

Particle board vs real wood

Honestly, this one doesn’t really bother me as much as it does others.

While particle board isn’t anywhere near as good as real wood, it’s also not as shoddy as people make it out to be.

I had a particle-board cat tree that lasted years. In fact, pieces of it are STILL going strong.

We dismantled it and repurposed some pieces for our outdoor cat shelters

So, yeah, it’s not as durable as real wood, but it’s not as bad as people think, either, especially when the brand using high-quality particle board.

However, if you just plain don’t like it, you may be better off going with a real wood cat tree.

Not made in the USA

Feandrea has offices in the US, but their products are not made here, at least as far as I can tell.

I believe they’re made in China, based on map on their “About Us” page.

They’ve never claimed to make their products in the US, though, so I don’t really have an issue with this.

Now let’s take a look at PAWMONA.

PAWMONA Cat Trees: Pros, Cons, and Features

PAWMONA is a somewhat smaller and newer brand overall than Feandrea.

From what I could find on their website, they only launched last year, and their “catalog” is still pretty thin.

I do have some concerns about the brand, but let’s look at the pros first.

Pros

  • From a family-owned company, according to their “About Us”
  • Small but diverse range of options, including a nice modern style
  • Some beds have removable and washable pads
  • Most poles are wrapped in sisal from top to bottom
  • Fairly stylish, for a carpeted cat tree
  • They do offer one real wood option.

  • 4-LEVEL CAT CONDO: There are four different levels where your cat can...
  • MACHINE WASHABLE: This comfortable cat tower for indoor cats is topped...
  • DURABLE AND LONG LASTING: The Pawmona Cat Tree Natural Condo has...

Cons

  • Complaints about missing screws, badly aligned holes, and such.
  • Lack of color options (each tree comes in just one color)
  • None are roomy enough for large-breed cats
  • “Made in Georgia” is very unclear

PAWMONA only has a handful of reviews across all of their products so far, so it’s really hard to get an accurate idea of what people really think of them.

Everyone has to start somewhere, though, so that on its own isn’t a major concern.

However, I do have some other worries regarding the brand that bear discussing.

Nowhere on the brand’s website or in their Amazon listings do they say that their products are made in the USA.

Every mention of where they manufacture their products states “Made in Georgia.”

As I’m sure you know, Georgia is both a state in the US AND a country in Eastern Europe.

Since the brand’s listings state “Made with quality, European craftsmanship,” I’m inclined to believe that “Made in Georgia” actually means the country.

I did try to find out more, but unfortunately their social media pages and phone number is actually for Pomona juice.

As I said, they’re a very new company, so I’m leaning towards “typo” and perhaps “web designer issues” versus “purposely duplicitous.”

Beyond those concerns, the majority of the cons aren’t really anything extreme.

Very few cat tree brands have structures designed for the big guys.

As for missing pieces, it happens sometimes to even the best brands.

Before we declare a winner, let’s look at the combined top 5 offerings from both brands (3 from Feandrea, 2 from PAWMONA).

Top 5 Best Feandrea & PAWMONA Cat Trees

We’ll start with Feandrea, then look at two options from PAWMONA.

As a multiple cat household, I tend to favor larger structures.

However, I know not everyone has the need (or the space) for looming towers, so I’m including a smaller model below.

1. FEANDREA 67 inches Multi-Level Cat Tree for Large Cats

FEANDREA 67 inches Multi-Level Cat Tree for Large Cats

You’ll definitely need a lot of room for this one, but it’s an amazing option!

Features & Pros

  • 67″ tall
  • 6 levels in all, with the perches on top
  • Super plush perches with soft edges for cats to rest their heads on.
  • Two roomy condos
  • Two colors

Cons

  • Takes up a lot of space.
  • Only one condo is large enough for bigger cats.

Recommendation

While one of the condos is spacious enough for most large-breed cats, the second condo is way too small.

Other than that, though, if you have the room for such a large cat tree, it’s totally worth buying.

FEANDREA 64″ Large Cat Tree with 3 Cat Caves

FEANDREA 64

The 64″ model is my second-favorite, especially for homes with three cats.

Features & Pros

  • Includes 3 condos that are fairly roomy.
  • 2 basket loungers
  • 2 perches for looking down on the world, as cats love to do
  • Alternating levels are good for senior cats who can’t jump well.

Cons

  • Only one condo is roomy enough for large-breed cats.
  • None of the condos are big enough for XL breeds.

Recommendation

If you have 2-3 average-sized kitties, you really can’t go wrong with this one.

The alternating levels make it one of my favorite cat trees for senior felines.

3. FEANDREA 37.8″ Cat Tree

41jo4bt2rNL

If you don’t have room for a ginormous cat tree, then this one may be just right.

It’s just under 38″, yet still comes with a few great bells and whistles (proverbially, of course).

Features & Pros

  • Rounded corners for added safety
  • Ramp doubles as scratching post
  • Super plus perch on top.
  • Cozy basket
  • Cave with two entrances

Cons

  • Way too small for large breed cats
  • Steep ramp and high jump to second level

Recommendation

If you’re short on space and a fairly small cat, this is a great choice.

However, I don’t love it for older cats.

The ramp is too steep, and the jump to the first level is a bit too high.

Okay, now let’s look at the PAWMONA cat trees!

4. PAWMONA 65″ Multi-Level Cat Tree Tower

PAWMONA 65

The PAWMONA 60″ Cat Tree is probably my favorite.

It’s fairly unique, especially compared to Feandrea’s offerings.

Features & Pros

  • European craftsmanship
  • 2 high-quality natural sisal mats
  • Roomy condo (not big enough for XL cats, though)
  • 2 plush perches with raised edges
  • Sisal-covered ramp
  • Reinforced posts
  • Hammock that’s permanently attached (vs just hanging by loops).
  • Stylish contrasting colors

Cons

  • Somewhat pricey
  • Requires a lot of space

Recommendation

I really (really really really) love that the hammock is completely attached to the bottom of the level above it.

As much as I loved my other cat tree, the hammock hung by two loops, so it never stayed put.

The contrasting colors are a nice touch, the creamy whites really pop against the brown.

It is one of their pricier models, but you do get a lot of cat tree for that cash.

It’s definitely not a space-saving model, though!

5. PAWMONA 65″ Multi-Level Cat Tree Tower

Feandrea Cat Tree, Small Cat Tower with Widened Perch for Large Cats Indoor, Kittens, 37.8-Inch Multi-Level Cat Condo with Scratching Posts and Ramp, 2-Door Cat Cave, Cat Basket, Light Gray UPCT51W

This is the only real wood cat tree on this list, and it’s a pretty nifty option!

It’s also the only one with washable cushions. Let’s check it out!

Features & Pros

  • Made with real birch wood
  • 4 different levels for your cat’s enjoyment.
  • Snuggly bed on the top platform.
  • All cushions are removable and washable.
  • Square-shaped posts & platforms have a more modern look.
  • Sisal rope covers all posts.
  • Creamy white color fits in with most decor.
  • Includes a wall mount to attach it to your wall.

Cons

  • Way too small for large breed cats
  • Complaints regarding lack of response from customer service

Recommendation

This is a beautiful option for a fair price, considering it’s made of real wood.

I love the modern square design and the muted color scheme.

The removable and washable pads are an absolute must in my house (my cats are super messy!).

One customer did have issues getting in touch with the company, and that kind of worries me.

So I would definitely recommend buying through Amazon, just in case there are any issues.

Feandrea Cat Trees VS PAWMONA Cat Trees: Which One Is the Winner?

I think it’s kind of clear which one I prefer, but just in case, let me come right out and say it.

I personally feel that Feandrea is the better option at this time.

They have a proven track record and a wide range of options for cats of all sizes.

Now, that could change as PAWMONA grows and expands.

I am still concerned about the young company’s technical issues regarding the info on their website.

Like I said, though, that likely has a totally innocent explanation, so I didn’t weigh it too heavily in deciding on the winner.

Beyond those issues, I really do love their offerings so far, and I’m looking forward to seeing how the compare in the future.
