First, what exactly is wicker? I had to look it up. I mean, I know what it looks like, but what’s it made of?
Well, that depends. True wicker furniture is made out of woven natural materials, like willow, bamboo, strong grasses, even ropes made with natural fibers.
Some companies even use cheaper synthetic materials, like vinyl, especially for items that are used outdoors.
As far as why you’d want it for cat furniture, a few reasons include:

- Expensive
- Not big enough for large breed cats (only holds up to 20lbs)

Recommendation
If you really like the MidWest’s overall shape but wish the basket on top was just a little fluffier, give this one a go.
Just keep in mind that it’s only ideal for small to medium kitties (I’d say under 12 pounds, even though it holds up to 20).

Okay, so while the price keeps this one from being my favorite, the aesthetics make it look more like art than cat furniture.

Recommendation
Since Sauder is known for their furniture, I feel like this is a terrific buy if you want something that will last a really long time.
The only downside, aside from the price of course, is that once again it’s too small for large cats.
Honestly, there aren’t really a ton of wicker cat trees on the market. These are definitely your best bets out of the small selection!

Out of all the wicker cat trees, the first one is still my favorite. It’s versatile & durable. Plus, it looks beautiful.
As far as the wicker cat beds go, it depends on what you want. If you’re looking for a swinging cat bed, there’s only one option.
