Choosing the best munchkin cat trees is a smidge trickier than picking out one for your long-legged kitty.
While some munchkin breeds are excellent jumpers, you still need to consider those itty-bitty legs that make them so darn cute in the first place.
I’ve rounded up 10 fantastic options that are a breeze for short-legged kitties to climb and conquer.

What to look for in a munchkin cat tree
Ask a dozen munchkin cat owners if their kitty can jump high and you’ll get ten different answers.
While it’s true that quite a few munchkin breeds can leap as well as their long-legged pals, just as many can’t quite reach those epic heights.
So, when I researched the best munchkin cat trees, I looked for two major features:
- Levels that are fairly close together (or alternate in such a way that munchkins don’t need to jump far)…
- …and/or ramps or steps that munchkins can use to get to different levels
I also looked at some of my top picks for the best cat trees for senior cats, as they share many of the same features.
Basically, if a senior who is past her prime jumping age can climb a tree, then it’s probably a good pick for munchkins!
Ready to see what I came up with? Good, let’s get started!
10 Best Munchkin Cat Trees
1. GO PET CLUB HUGE CAT TREE
If you’re a regular reader of our cat tree reviews, you know that I’m a huge fan of Go Pet Club. In fact, expect to see their name pop up more than once on this list!
Let’s start with their “Huge cat tree” since it is also my top pick overall.
Features & benefits
- Floor to ceiling cat tree
- Sisal-wrapped poles all over the structure
- Plush, cozy carpeting
- Includes 3 cat condos and 3 baskets for lounging
- Condos fit larger kitties, so no problem fitting your munchkin
- Steps and alternating levels make it easy for munchkins to climb
- Fits ceilings up to 106′ high
- Easy to assemble
Cons
- Not quite high enough for a 9’ ceiling
- Baskets aren’t sturdy enough for heavy munchkins (one customer said her 9 lb kitty broke it)
- Some of the colors are significantly more expensive than others.
Recommendation
Aside from the really weird price discrepancy between colors, this is definitely one of my favorite cat trees in general.
For munchkins, I love it because all of the levels are either close together or alternate in a way that make jumping easy.
- Huge Cat Tree Furniture
- Material: Compressed wood, faux fur, sisal rope
- For medium to large size cat
2. Katris Modular Cat Tree
The Katris Modular cat tree is another one that appears a lot on my top 10 lists and for a good reason! Take a look at the features and pros to find out why I love it so much.

- Infinitely expandable if you buy additional sets
- Since you can configure it in any way, it’s perfect for literally every single breed, munchkin included

Cons
- Pricey
- While it comes with clips to hold it together, you only get exactly enough (no extras)
- Made from cardboard
Recommendation
While it’s made from cardboard and not real wood, it’s not your average cardboard box material. It’s really super strong!
I love this one so much because you can assemble it however you want. Buy enough units and you could even make an entire Munchkin cat furniture wall!

Features & benefits
- Made with natural paper rope and high-quality fleece materials.
- Looks great in your home with its minimalist design
- Comes with all the tools you need to assemble.
- You can remove the bottom cushion
- Sisal-wrapped pole encourages kitty to scratch that and not your sofa
- Holds cats up to 20 lbs
Cons
- Dangling toy doesn’t break away, so it could be a potential hazard
- Top cushion isn’t removable
- A bit pricey for such a small tree
Recommendation
While it’s not my top choice for my own cats (I like something a little more versatile), I do feel it’s a great space-saver munchkin cat tree.
I love the simple and elegant style. The price is a bit high when you compare the features to other models, but remember, it’s handmade.

4. WALL-MOUNTED MODERN CAT TREE HOUSE
Love the idea of a wall-mounted tree made with real wood? I really adore this one by PetsHelperCo. In fact, if I didn’t rent and could punch holes in my walls to support it, I’d grab it in a heartbeat!
Features & benefits
- Easy enough for Munchkins to climb and crawl through
- Crafted with environmentally friendly birch wood
- Comes with around cat house, five hexagons & a round step
- Two sizes available
- Three different choices for wood color
- Non-toxic paint and stain
- Multiple entrances and exits on all of the hexagons.
- Free shipping
Cons
- Very expensive
- Needs to be mounted low enough for your munchkin to reach
- Obviously not good for renters who can’t pull holes in their wall.
Recommendation
Okay, so it’s definitely one of the most expensive out of all my picks for the best munchkin cat trees. However, remember that it’s totally handmade using REAL wood, not just particle board.
Like I said, if I could mount things on my wall like this, I’d definitely snatch this one up!
5. Trixie Pet Products ESMA Adjustable Cat Tree
If you want a floor-to-ceiling option but weren’t quite sold on the Go Pet Club model up there in the #1 spot, maybe this one by Trixie Pet will do it for you.
Features & benefits
- Attaches to the ceiling with a spring, so you don’t have to screw or nail it in.
- The comfy bed on top is removable
- Includes a unique 3-story sisal-wrapped condo
- Covered in plush material on all levels.
- Sisal-wrapped poles
Cons
- Ceiling attachment part is tricky to secure
- A bit wobbly
- Not a whole lot of ratings (so it’s harder to get an overall picture of what customers think)
Recommendation
I like that, while it’s a floor to ceiling model, it’s not terribly bulky. So, it would fit pretty well even in a smaller apartment.
The 3-story condo is also a nice touch! Perfect for multiple cats!
- Floor-to-ceiling design with ceiling attachment
- Adjustable Height (95.5 to 106.25 inches)
- Suitable for cats of all ages and activity levels
6. BEWISHOME LARGE CAT TREE CONDO
Prefer something that’s more like an entire cat gym vs. a tree? Let’s take a look at the Bewishome Large Cat Condo!
Features & benefits
- Super roomy, making it perfect for multiplecats.
- Comes with 3 plush cushioned perches
- Two roomy cat caves
- The bottom level condo is big enough for two munchkin cats at the same time.
- Sisal scratching posts throughout each level.
- Super comfy hammock for lounging.
- Comes with a wall anchor for added stability
Cons
- If you happen to have large cats, too, they’ll only fit in the bottom level.
- Condos don’t have solid sides.
- Top perch bolsters are soft, so not really ideal for kitties to lean against.
- Dangling toys don’t appear to be designed to break away.
- A bit pricey
Recommendation
The only thing I don’t like is the dangling toy. I’ve read horror stories about kitties getting caught up in them while jumping. So, I’d just snip it off.
Other than that, I love pretty much everything about this one! It’s definitely a fabulous pick for multiple-cat households.

7. PAWHUT 108″ FLOOR-TO-CEILING TREE
How about one last floor-to-ceiling option? This one is by Pawhut significantly different than the others, as you can tell just by looking at it.
Features & benefits
- Floor to ceiling tension keeps it stable
- Soft plush covered perches
- Put the perches where ever you want, so they’re at just the right height for your munchkin.
- Includes a cozy hammock for lounging (you can also place it where ever you want)
- Spring-loaded brackets keep it in place, no screws required
Cons
- Expensive, considering it’s a fairly basic cat tree
- Not the most attractive of the bunch
- Perches are too narrow for particularly rotund Munchkin cats
- Can’t buy additional pieces.
Recommendation
While I think it looks kind of like a shoe rack, I do like the overall simplicity of the Pawhut floor to ceiling tree.
I do wish they sold add-on pieces, though. It would be nice to add another hammock, especially if you have two kitties.
- Floor to ceiling tension to keep tower stable
- Four movable perches and hammock
- Spring loaded brackets make it easily movable from room to room
8. GO PET CLUB HUGE 87.5 IN. CAT TREE
Here’s that other Go Pet Club tree that I promised way back at the beginning. It was almost my top pick, but the size is a bit overwhelming for some homes.
Features & benefits
- 2 cozy top purchases
- 5 condos in all
- Three condos are roomy enough for two munchkin cats at once
- Fun little tunnels
- Platform in the middle is also a swing!
- Sisal-wrapped posts throughout
Cons
- Doesn’t come with wall anchors.
- Bulky
- Instructions are a bit confusing
- Dangle toys don’t break away
Recommendation
If you have the space for it and really want to give your munchkins a good workout, you can’t go wrong here!
I can say without a doubt that it would be my top choice if I had the room.
- Item may ship in more than one box and may arrive separately

9. FEANDREA Cat Tree with Scratching Board
Like Go Pet Club, FEANDREA is a brand that I can always count on to help me find the best cat trees for pretty much every need.
For our munchkin cats, I’ve chosen their 67″ model with scratching board.
Features & benefits
- The board acts as a ramp for munchkins who can’t quite make the leap to the first level.
- 2 roomy condos
- 3 plush perches with raised edges
- Battens at the bottom for added stability
- Anti-toppling fittings.
- Sisal-covered posts (in addition to the scratching pad)
Cons
- If your munchkin doesn’t use the ramp, the first level is a bit high up (still, most munchkins can make the leap)
- Pricey
- Fabric tends to come lose easily
Recommendation
The FEANDREA is a good middle-of-the-road option, meaning it’s not in my top 4 but neither is it in my bottom 4 as far as favorites go.
I do like the color, and the fact that it’s fairly sturdy.

10. EllieMae Senior Cat Playground
The EllieMae Senior Cat Playground was, as the name implies, made with older cats in mind. That also makes it ideal for munchkins!
Features & Pros
- Covered with plush cloth that’s gentle on your older cat’s toes
- Jute & plush-wrapped posts for sharpening those claws
- Levels are close together
- Extra deep hammock
- Cozy bed on the top level is removable
Cons
- If you have other larger cats, they won’t be able to fit on it
- Shipping is expensive
- Not sure where it’s made
Recommendation
It’s small, so be warned. Like I said, if you have other cats, they won’t really be able to use it much.
However, if you have munchkins (especially older ones), it’s a fabulous space-saving option.
Final Recommendation
I gave you my top overall pick early on. However, my personal favorite “if I had room for it” tree is the other Go Pet Club model. I love how robust and versatile it is!
- Huge Cat Tree Furniture
- Material: Compressed wood, faux fur, sisal rope
- For medium to large size cat
