If you’re looking for space-saving multi-use kitty furniture, you’ll definitely want to check out my favorite cat trees with beds.
Now, I’m not talking about trees that slap a cushion on the top platform and call it a day!
I mean super cozy & comfy spots that are truly worthy of a cat nap!
Take a look and you’ll see what I mean!

How to Find Cozy Cat Trees with Beds
When I started my search for cat trees with beds, I had a specific vision in mind.
I didn’t want just any old carpeted platform beds, I wanted something super soft, plush and beyond comfortable.
In other words, if it didn’t make me wish that it came in human sizes, I didn’t include it.
I went to a few of my favorite cat furniture sources to find my top picks, including Amazon, CatsPlay Furniture, and Etsy.
Yep, Etsy. Surprised? The site best known for handmade crafty wares also sells fantastic pet furniture.

Best Cat Trees with Beds
1. Cat Tree for Large Cats

For once, we’re going to start with something that’s big enough for ALL cats! That way, my Maine Coon friends don’t have to wait until we get to #8 to find something they can use.
Super plush & supersized is totally the name of the game with Cat Tree King. This baby is big, yes, but that means it’s roomy enough for all your feline friends.
Features & Pros
- Every single pole is covered from top to bottom with sisal rope.
- Sisal is glued right onto the poles so it won’t come off.
- All parts of the poles are made with super strong materials so the tree lasts a long time.
- The entire thing is carefully covered so that you never have to look at naked wood.
- Includes 2 large hammocks as well as the plush top bed.
- Pillow is removable (attached with Velcro) so you can take it off if you need to.
- Very strong and sturdy base.
Cons
- The light color can get dirty pretty easily.
- Not really a space-saving cat tree.
- Kind of pricey.
- At 143 pounds, it’s quite heavy.
Recommendation
I love the Cat Tree King’s trees, but you definitely need to have a good amount of space for this baby.
It’s a bit pricey, but definitely not the most expensive on this list and well worth the cost.
2. Modern Cat Furniture Wood Tree with Bed

This beautiful handmade cat tree is just the right size for small spaces (like your bedroom), and the super plush platforms are cozy enough for a long nap.
Features & Pros
- Made with real wood that’s handcrafted into a cat tree
- Each one is totally unique
- Super soft premium plush material for the beds
- Comes in a choice of three main colors for the platform material
- Ships free in the United States
- The wood itself is great for scratching, but it also includes a sisal roped section.
Cons
- Not big enough for large breed cats
- Assembly required (although most reviewers say it was easy)
- Dangly toy doesn’t appear to be a breakaway one, which can be dangerous if cats get caught in it.
Recommendation
If you want something truly one of a kind that’ll fit anywhere in your home, you could stop right here.
Everything about this cat tree is just perfect. Real wood, premium plush, and a reasonable price considering it’s handmade.

3. AmazonBasics Cat Post

The AmazonBasics Cat Post looks incredibly simple and, let’s be honest, a bit boring, but the bed is actually pretty awesome.
Features & Pros
- Relatively budget-friendly
- Extra-plush bed for a cozy nap spot
- Neutral colors go great with any decor
- Natural jute fiber scratching posts
- Durable, built to last longer than a few months
Cons
- Not the most attractive on this list
- Fairly simple, no bells and whistles
- Not big enough for Maine Coon cats
Recommendation
Honestly, there’s not a whole lot to say about this one. It’s pretty much what you see is what you get.
It’s fantastic for those who have very, very little space (and a fairly little cat!) but still want something comfy.
- Single-pillar scratching post for cats with bed and replaceable dangle toy
- Elevated plush bed provides a cozy space for your pet to relax
- Helps keep your cat from damaging carpets, furniture, curtains, and more
- Natural jute fiber scratching posts help keep nails healthy
- Neutral color tones fit in with your home’s existing décor
- Durable, long-lasting construction
4. Callista Cat Sky Bed

Another relatively simple option, this one is a bit more stylish than the Amazonbasics tree yet not quite as fancy as the others.
Features & Pros
- Removable ring-shaped bed is machine washable
- Very affordable
- Lightweight and easy to move
- Wrapped in plush from top to bottom
- Fully-wrapped sisal scratching post
Cons
- Doesn’t ship free (one of the few things on CatsPlay that doesn’t)
- Made of particle board, so it’s not the sturdiest
- While lightweight is a pro, it’s also a con because it reduces stability
- Not really loving the color, to be honest
Recommendation
Okay, so it’s not my favorite as far as style goes, but it’s a great comfy option for those who simply can’t afford to drop $100+ on a cat tree & bed combo.
The shipping cost isn’t sky-high, but it does kind of kill the whole “under $50” thing that I was going for.

5. Wooden Modular Cat House

For a beautiful handmade modular wall-mounted cat tree with a bed, head back to Etsy and check out this one by CatissaCatTrees.
Features & Pros
- Mounts on your wall, so it’s a real space saver
- Configure it pretty much any way you want
- Includes soft faux fur or sheepskin bedding for cozy napping (you choose the material)
- Easy to clean, as the surfaces don’t collect dust
- Ships free in the US
Cons
- Fairly expensive
- You need to hang it on a stud for stability
- Not great for renters who can’t put holes in their walls
- Not really big enough for large breed cats
Recommendation
Yes, it’s pretty expensive for a cat tree, but again, it’s handmade with real wood, so it’ll last a lifetime (and then some).
I love that you can choose between vegan faux fur or real sheepskin. It’s a good choice if your budget is large and your cat is small!

6. EllieMae Senior Cat Playground

It’s rare to find a cat tree that really considered an older kitty’s needs, but that’s exactly what you get here with the EllieMae Senior Cat Playground.
Features & Pros
- Covered with plush cloth that’s gentle on your older cat’s toes
- Jute & plush-wrapped posts for sharpening those claws
- Levels are close together, so arthritic kitties don’t have to exert themselves leaping
- Extra deep hammock wraps your cat in comfort
- Super soft & cozy bed on the top level is removable
Cons
- Too small for anything beyond a petite kitty
- Doesn’t ship free, and shipping is $60!
- Not sure where it’s made (on CatsPlay, if it’s a US brand it’ll say so, and it doesn’t).
Recommendation
I love that someone actually sat down and thought, “how can we make the perfect cat tree for older cats?”
Everything about this is really senior-friendly! I can almost forgive the high shipping cost because of that. Almost…

7. Wooden Cat Climbing Tower
Another beautiful option by MAU (they made #2 on this list as well), this one is a bit more modern. It has a very Hygge vibe!

Features & Pros
- Made with real wood
- Cute rattan woven basket beds filled with premium plush material
- Budget-friendly, and ships free in the US
- Natural rope material around the middle of each branch for scracthing
- Three primary color options
- A portion of each sale goes to animal charities & they plant a tree for each cat tree sold.
Cons
- A bit pricier than similar trees that aren’t handmade
- Frequently backordered, so you may have to wait
- Needs to be assembled
Recommendation
Again, it’s hard to find anything bad to say about these beautiful beds. They have terrific reviews and just look gorgeous!
I love that each purchase supports both animal charities and the environment.

8. Trixie ESMA Adjustable Height Cat Tree

Here’s one for those who prefer something that reaches all the way to the sky (or at least your ceiling, which to your cat is the same thing).
The adjustable Trixie tree goes from 95.5″ all the way to 106.25, so it’s a great fit for most homes.
Features & Pros
- Floor-to-ceiling design with ceiling attachment (spring-activated, no nails or screws needed)
- Comfy top bed that’s removable
- Includes a unique 3-story sisal-wrapped condo
- The whole thing is covered in plush material
Cons
- Very narrow, so not big enough for larger kitties
- Hard to tighten the top part that connects to the ceiling
Recommendation
I think this is a really neat-looking cat tree, and I know my kitties would love it. However, not all of them would actually fit in it.
It’s really only ideal for sprightly young and petite cats. If that sounds like your kitty, though, go for it!
- Floor-to-ceiling design with ceiling attachment
- Adjustable Height (95.5 to 106.25 inches)
- Suitable for cats of all ages and activity levels
- Dimensions: 15.75 x 15.75 x 95.5 – 106.25 inches
Final Recommendation
As you can see, this list is a bit shorter than the typical “top 10s” that I usually do.
I’ll be honest, I struggled to find cat trees with beds that fit my criteria.
Sure, just about every tree has a bed-like platform, but that’s really all they are- a platform. To me, that’s NOT a bed!
My final recommendation out of this shorter list is definitely the Cat Tree Kings tree! It’s big enough for all cats, super soft and very well made.
However, if it’s TOO much cat tree for your home or kitty, I really (really times a thousand) love the MAU Cat Tree (#2 and #7). They’re just beautiful!
